23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup 2026 is all set to kickstart with a grand opening ceremony on June 11, 2026, in the US, Canada and Mexico. This time, the three nations are going to host the biggest football festival in the world. Recently, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has officially confirmed the lineup of artists who will be performing at the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2026. Interestingly, many Hollywood singers will perform at the event. But one name that grabbed everyone’s attention is K-pop group BLACKPINK’s Lisa. The diva will join Katy Perry, Rema and others for the much-awaited event of this year.
Where Will Lisa Perform?
It has to be noted that the World Cup will be hosted by three countries. Hence, three different opening ceremonies have been arranged in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. BLACKPINK’s Lisa will perform on June 12, 2026, at the SoFi Stadium in the US. Her performance timing is at 4:30 pm local time. The performance will happen just 90 minutes ahead of the opening match between the United States and Paraguay.
Lisa is the first female K-pop artist who is going to be performing at the 2026 Football World Cup's opening ceremony. Apart from her, the officials confirmed Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, Rema, Tyla and DJ Sanjoy’s names for the US ceremony. Mana, Alejandro Fernández and Belinda will perform at the Mexico ceremony. In Canada, Michael Buble, Alanis Morissette and Alessia Cara have been finalised as performers. More names are expected to be out anytime soon.
