raving about Aditya Dhar’s directorial. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, the actress praised Dhurandhar and called it a ‘complete film’. She further added that it inspired her as an actor and cinema lover. Chitrangda further shared that she found the screenplay to be so immersive that she could smell those bylanes of Lyari. Dhurandhar released in theatres on December 5. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal.

During an exclusive chat with
Zoom, Chitrangda said, “Dhurandar inspired me as an actor and as a cinema person. I think it was one of the most amazing films in every department. It is a complete film I have seen in a longest time. Be it the screenplay, the direction, art or the sets, costumes and all, it is fantastic. You could smell Lahore. It felt like you’re sitting there in the market.”When asked if she plans to collaborate with Akshaye Khanna in future, the actress gushed over his performance in
Dhurandhar and also said that if the right opportunity arrives, she would love to work with the actor.
Chitrangda Singh on power plays in industry
In the interview, Chitrangda opened up about power plays in the film industry. “It will always happen. In this industry, there is so much to gain and lose. Whenever you’re in a place where there’s fame and a lot more to gain, there will be so many people standing in between. As the stakes go up, there will be people standing in between. Either you have to fight or have fate by your side to go through,” Singh said.When asked whether it was fate or fight in her journey, Chitrangda added, “In my case, it was both. You have to rely on both. Ek se kuch nahi hoga. You have to fight and depend on fate that it works out.”Chitrangda’s latest film,
