Boss Messaging On WhatsApp All Day? Well, This Techie Found A Solution To Get Summaries Without Read Receipts

The corporation has its own way of things and some of which are more than exhausting. One such practice that works as a pet peeve for the majority is their bosses texting on WhatsApp all the time. And due to the same, one Indian techy had had enough of it, so much so that he made an AI device that flips the game completely. A Reddit user who goes by the name u/several-Virus4840 shared his brand new innovation on a subreddit dubbed r/DevelopersIndia. In the video, the techie has explained how the device works. So, when a user receives text from his boss on WhatsApp, the screen of the AI device instantly summarises the message in five lines. For multiple texts, the user can scroll through the summaries on the small OLED screen with a touchpad

on the device. In addition to the message summary, the AI also automatically informs you about the tone of text, like whether your boss is happy or if he is in a bad mood. The best part here is that the whole process happens wirelessly, and it does not trigger read receipts on WhatsApp. This means that your boss will have no clue if you have read the messages or not.

Coming To The Technical Part

The device integrates software with minimal-cost hardware. The backend of the device has been developed on Node.js, using the Baileys library to listen for incoming WhatsApp messages. And yes, a touch sensor allows the user to refresh or scroll via messages with ease. The battery used in the device has been taken from an old selfie stick. That being said, you don't need to get all happy and excited about the same as the device will not be available commercially. As suggested by the Redditor, the device was a side project created as a practical solution to a problem.
