Revenue-Sharing Dispute For Patriot
While the official reason for the delay is due to unforeseen issues, industry discussions suggest that financial disagreements may have played a role. Reports indicate a standoff between the film’s producers and the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK). The producers are said to have proposed a 60:40 revenue-sharing model for the first two weeks, deviating from the traditional arrangement. This proposal reportedly met opposition from theatre owners, leading to tensions and even the possibility of a screening ban in Kerala.FEUOK representatives have said the importance of maintaining the existing revenue-sharing structure to safeguard theatre owners’ interests. With recent Malayalam films underperforming at the box office, exhibitors are cautious about adopting new financial models that could increase their risk. It is backed by Anto Joseph, with CR Salim and Subhash Manuel serving as co-producers. The film's director, Mahesh also serves as one of the editors alongside Rahul Radhakrishnan, with Sushin Shyam composing the music and Manush Nandan is charge of the film's cinematography.
