According to recently filed legal documents, five contractors and subcontractors have accused the couple of not paying more than $2.1 million for construction work carried out on the sprawling estate in Lewisboro. The luxurious property, spread over nearly 110 acres, was envisioned as a dream compound, featuring a grand main residence, eco-friendly amenities, and private entertainment spaces. However, reports now claim that construction has been completely halted, with unpaid dues and legal cases raising fresh controversy over the much-talked-about project.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' luxury property, located around 50 miles north of Manhattan, has reportedly been a passion project for the celebrity couple ever since they quietly acquired the land in 2018. Spread across nearly 110 acres, the estate was designed to become a massive private compound featuring a 14,500-square-foot main residence, a pool house, a gym, and advanced eco-friendly heating systems. However, new reports suggest that construction on the dream mansion has now come to a standstill.According to documents cited by The Daily Mail, the total unpaid amount stands at $2,108,856.63. The largest claim was reportedly filed by Flower Construction, a luxury building company that alleges it is owed $1,356,157.54 for major work carried out on the estate. According to the complaint, their responsibilities included structural work, plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall installation, brickwork, and heating and cooling systems.
In addition to Flower Construction, four other subcontractors have reportedly filed claims related to specialized work on the property. This includes excavation work for an environmentally friendly geothermal heating system and large-scale drainage infrastructure around the estate. Reports also claimed the slowdown in construction began toward the end of 2025 before work eventually halted completely earlier this year.
