Bigg Boss Marathi 4 fame and Marathi actor Prasad Jawade’s mother, Pradnya Jawade, passed away on December 28, 2025, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Prasad’s actress-wife, Amruta Deshmukh, confirmed

the news about her mother-in-law’s demise with an emotional post on Instagram. Prasad’s mother was 65 and had been battling with cancer for many years. Her demise has indeed left the Ek Mahanayak – Dr BR Ambedkar actor heartbroken, as he was very close to his mom. In a note, Amruta Deshmukh expressed her grief over the demise of her dear mother-in-law and mentioned how she would consider her as her daughter.

Prasad Jawade’s mother is no more

Amruta Deshmukh shared a bunch of pictures with Prasad Jawade’s mother on her Instagram handle while announcing her demise. She penned a heartwarming note that shows her love and affection for the departed soul. In the note, Amruta Deshmukh wrote, “From day one, she never treated me like a सून I was her मुलगी…simply, effortlessly. Names never mattered. “Kaku/Mummy”- love remained the same. And hers was pure, innocent, unquestioning. Her love for Marathi भाषा, कविता, शब्द..that was our quiet bond. Long conversations, simple emotions, deep meanings. Those twinkling grey eyes… the same warmth that lives on in Prasad’s light brown ones.”

Moreover, Amruta also mentioned that she is proud of Prasad Jawade and his father for taking care of her mother-in-law during her tough times. She said, “Grateful for the way you held me. Grateful for the way you loved me. Always your girl. Pradnya Jawade (१५ सप्टेंबर १९६०-२८ डिसेंबर २०२५) And last but not least..proud of her son @prasadjawade and pappa - the way they both held her hand and accompanied her in her journey is beyond words ♥.” (sic) In the pictures, one can see Prasad Jawade taking care of his late mother during her illness.
