Emraan, seated with his fans, told us, “In the trailer, by design, my cameo wasn’t shown because when it happened in the third episode, the audience had to be surprised. Them (Lakshya, Sahher Bambba) reacting to him and the way Raghav has sung it. Amazing. It was an improv. The scene was written that way, but the Arabic portions were added. Originally, the scene wasn’t a part of the show. My entry was supposed to be during a premiere. Raghav’s character had to start singing there. A month before, it was rewritten. Aryan (Khan, director) and Bilal (writer) came to me and narrated the scene. They asked whether I am okay with playing an intimacy coach. Who else but me!” Hashmi praised Aryan for his directorial debt. He said, “Aryan is fantastic. As a director, he’s phenomenal. He is also a bit of an actor because he’s constantly acting and showing all the scenes. He is a good actor.”

When a fan asked the Haq actor if he also agrees with ‘Akkha Bollywood Ek Taraf Aur Emraan Hashmi Ek Taraf’ dialogue, he shared, “I am always an outsider for Bollywood. So, I’m always on the other side, and Bollywood is on one side. It is a good balancing act. Bollywood joh sochta hai, voh main karta hu.”

Emraan’s latest film, Haq, is scheduled to release in theatres on November 7. The film also stars Yami Gautam, Vartika Singh, Sheeba Chadha and others. Produced by Junglee Pictures in association with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios, it is inspired by a landmark Supreme Court judgment.
