lawsuit against Danielle March after removing the K-pop idol from her girl band NewJeans seems to have blown up the K-pop industry, becoming the most controversial case of the year. Infact, reports claim that the company's 43.1 billion won ($32 million) damages claim is possibly the largest civil lawsuit money wise claim in the history of South Korea's entertainment industry against a 20-year-old artist. This is a massive imbalance between Danielle's net worth and the amount of money she's being sued for, legal sources claimed. Soon after ousting Danielle from the five-member NewJeans, it declared of filing a damages lawsuit against her, one of her family members, and former CEO Min Hee-Jin.

ADOR sues Danielle of $32 million damages

On December 31, Korean publications cited officials from the legal community and stated that the lawsuit filed by ADOR, seeking contractual penalties and damages totaling $32 million, was assigned to the Civil Division 31 of the Seoul Central District Court. Though the date for the first hearing is yet to be announced.It further mentioned that the defendants in the lawsuit include Danielle, a family member who ADOR alleges played a crucial role in the dispute, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-Jin. The company claims that all the defendants are responsible for the conflict that has disrupted NewJeans activities and comeback.

ADOR claims Danielle was aware about her removal from NewJeans

Though some reports claimed Danielle was not even informed before ADOR announced the termination of her exclusive contract and her removal from NewJeans, the label in its defence stated in a statement on December 29, that it had formally notified Danielle of the termination. ADOR stated that it was no longer possible to continue working with her as a NewJeans member and the brand's artist.ADOR confirmed that Haerin and Hyein were returing to the label and as members of NewJeans. It said after "extensive discussions" Hanni also decided to come back, while resolution was underway with Minji.
