media platforms X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit experienced reported issues on Sunday, according to outage-tracking website Downdetector. Thousands of users turned to the platform to say they were facing trouble accessing the services.

Downdetector posted on X that user reports indicated problems with X starting at 4.14 pm EST. Shortly before that, the site also said Reddit users began reporting issues around 3.58 pm EST.Many users said they were unable to load feeds, post content, or refresh pages. Others reported slow performance, login problems, or error messages while trying to access the platforms on both mobile apps and desktop browsers.Neither X nor Reddit had released an official statement explaining the cause of the disruptions.
