She was 92 and breathed her last at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. Asha Bhosle’s funeral will be held at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, on April 13 at 4 pm. According to Udit Narayan, the golden era of music has come to an end with the demise of Asha Bhosle. He said, “An era has come to an end today. She could sing any kind of song with ease. That era was different. We have always admired Asha ji's work. Such an outstanding personality.” When asked about a fond memory with Asha Bhosle, Udit Narayan revealed, “I had celebrated my birthday in Mumbai's Taj Lands End. I had requested her to come. She came for it.”
