Over two decades have passed, but Malcolm and his large family are just as chaotic as ever. The Fox series is returning in 2026 for a four-part revival series titled Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still
Unfair for streaming, with much of the cast coming back. This time, an adult Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz, is forced to attend a family function, and he realises why he left his crazy family in the first place. The premiere date of Malcolm in the
Middle: Life's Still Unfair is set for April 10 on Hulu. In India, it will likely premiere on JioHotstar. The revival series is set to have four 30-minute episodes, which will be released together.

The official synopsis for the Hulu series states, "After shielding himself and his daughter from his family for over a decade, Malcolm is dragged back into their orbit when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party."

In the new trailer released by the streamer, Malcolm states, "“My life is fantastic now. All I had to do was stay away from my family!” Of course, he has no choice but to go to the anniversary party where it all goes to hell.
Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair cast and crew
Actor Frankie Muniz reprises his role as the middle child, Malcolm, with mother Lois, played by Jane Kaczmarek, and father Hal, played by Emmy winner Bryan Cranston. Christopher Kennedy Masterson and Justin Berfield return as older brothers Francis and Reese, respectively. Emy Coligado plays Piama, Francis's wife. The role of youngest brother Dewey is now taken over by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, who is replacing Erik Per Sullivan, who has left acting. Keeley Karsten plays Malcolm's daughter, while Kiana Madeira plays his girlfriend.Linwood Boomer, who created the original series, is back as writer and executive producer. Actor Cranston is also an executive producer on the revival, while Ken Kwapis has directed all four episodes and also serves as executive producer.
