want to see what Runway's dishing out. The fictional magazine from The Devil Wears Prada 2 got a resurgence in the film and it has taken the box office by storm all over the world. In the US, it has opened with $77 million. The first film had earned $27.5 million in 2006. And international audiences can't get enough of the lead cast of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, as the sequel earned $156.6 million. The combined total takes The Devil Wears Prada 2 to $233.6 million for its first weekend. The film's budget is $100 million.

Variety, the sequel is well on its way to outgrossing the first film released in 2006 and it will do so in a matter of weeks.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will become one of the success stories of the year in Hollywood with a large female audience. The first film was made for $35 million and ended up with $326 million worldwide, while the sequel's Friday earnings of $32.5 million is more than what the original made on opening weekend.
So far this year, several other Hollywood films have seen strong openings.
Project Hail Mary opened with $80 million,

Michael with $97.5 million. In fact, the film on the late pop star Michael Jackson is a juggernaut, as it has earned $423 million globally, with some experts predicting that it can hit a billion. The film is yet to release in Japan, a key market.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour as an assistant. She wrote two more followup books with
Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns in 2013 and
When Life Gives You Lululemons in 2018. However, the new sequel is not based on the Weisberger sequels.
On Rotten Tomatoes and CinemaScore, audiences have scored the film higher than the original. All four members of the main cast reprised their iconic roles. Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, BJ Novak, Simone Ashley, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon and Helen J Shen joined the cast of the second film.
