The firm also announced in a blog post that it is changing how it uses data shared by businesses, as reported by Neowin. As of now, Meta uses your activity on third-party applications and services to show you more relevant ads on its platforms. That is something not all users like, and now the company is taking a step ahead by planning to use the data to personalise your feed and AI chats.Furthermore, Mark Zuckerberg's firm also announced that it is changing how you manage your data. But you will still be able to use this setting to disable personalisation. Nonetheless, Meta has stated that this won't stop it from collecting your data. Businesses can still share their data with Meta, and it will be used to enhance the services by the company, as per the official privacy policy. And Meta will simply not use this to personalise content for you. Its services also include Meta AI, which means your data can be used for training purposes as well. That's not it; this move by Meta is also being seen as the first step towards the introduction of ads in AI chats. If Meta is going to personalise ads based on your activity outside Meta products, then it could soon begin using that data to offer sponsored products and services within your chats with their models. Meta has said that it is not collecting any additional user data; instead, it is only adding another way to it.
