Actor Celina Jaitly is in a constant fight for her brother Maj. (Rtd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, an Indian Army official who has been allegedly detained in the UAE since September 2024 over national security

concerns. The actor took to Instagram to share an emotional note, expressing her anguish and sleepless nights worrying about his well-being.

On Monday, the Delhi High Court issued a notice to the Government of India to file a status report and appointed a nodal officer to assist and communicate with the family. The petition alleged that the Centre had provided only “perfunctory consular assistance” and failed to share any substantive updates regarding his situation.The court directed the Centre to submit a status report within four weeks and to designate a nodal officer for updates on Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly’s case.According to PTI, Celina’s brother had been residing in the UAE since 2016 and was employed with the MATITI Group, which deals in trading, consultancy, and risk management services.
