Why Is Ranveer Singh Making Headlines?

Ranveer Singh's Ferrari video has surfaced amid the ongoing dispute over his exit from Don 3. He was officially announced as the lead back in August 2023, but the collaboration with Excel Entertainment eventually fell apart. Ranveer's side says the film was never truly ready and there was no final script even after years of work. Excel Entertainment, run by Farhan Akhtar, disputes this and says the script was shared and discussed at every stage. They have now demanded around Rs 40 crore in damages, saying they spent a lot on pre-production before Ranveer walked out.

The dispute has since gone to the Producers Guild of India and even the Federation of Western India Cine Employees issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer, but later withdrew it.
