Fans of BTS and Blackpink are at loggerheads, and the reason is Jennie's Dracula - JENNIE Remix. The song's latest ranking on Spotify's Global Daily chart has left the internet divided, with ARMYs countering Jennie's feat with that of Jungkook, claiming the listing is not proper. Both Jennie and Jungkook are among the most popular global K-pop stars, along with having a highly successful run on global charts as soloists. While their bands are flagbearers of Korean music in recent times, their rankings and statistics often leave ARMYs and BLINKs at opposing ends. And the latest instance adds to the list. This also comes as both BTS and Blackpink are gearing up for a full group comeback with their new albums, respectively called ARIRANG and DEADLINE.
BTS, Blackpink fans clash over Spotify's Global Daily chart
It so happened that on February 6, reports surfaced that Jennie's Dracula - JENNIE Remix debuted at No. 47 on Spotify's Global Daily chart with 2.12 million filtered streams on its first day. This prompted her fans to rank it above Jungkook's 2023 Usher and Justin Timberlake collabs at 1.09 million and 995,000 streams. Jungkook's supporters quickly counter it with his
3D (Alternate Ver.) at 2.14 million filtered streams. Others even cited another BTS member, V aka Kim Taehyung, at 3.8 million. Infact, many pointed at Jennie's own Coachella version at 4.66 million.
The clash hinges on filtered versus unfiltered counts, remix definitions, and fan trackers like Kworb.net amid K-pop's intense streaming rivalries.
Chart context of Dracula (JENNIE Remix)
Dracula (JENNIE Remix) is a remix of Tame Impala's 2025 track
Dracula featuring Jennie's added vocals and new sections. The remix, which dropped on February 6, 2026, is the Blackpink member's major collaboration with the Australian act.
Fans post happy reactions
Many BLINKs claimed that hitting the Spotify global chart with a remix is impressive, especially for a track that originated as another artist's song. A fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Oh Jennie being bigger than kpop." Another one said, "That Tame remix climbing proves that innovative cross-genre collabs own the streaming market - no gatekeepers, just pure creative capitalism! Free market rules!" One comment read, "jennie & tampe impala impact is insane."
BTS fans weight in against claim
Criticism from some listeners and cross-fandom voices steamed up soon. Some fans (especially outside the Blackpink fandom) aren't happy about Jennie's added vocals, arguing they don't match well with the original psychedelic vibe of Dracula and call the remix "unnecessary" or "rushed." Many even said the remix didn't need Jennie's part at all.ARMYs stepped in too. A user pointed out at Jungkook's 3D (Alternate Ver.) with remains the biggest debut for a remix by a K-pop soloist on Spotify (unfiltered streams). "mind you that’s the streams for 2 songs combined deal with it she’s can’t even compete jungkook," wrote a BTS fan. "Jungkook is the greatest K-pop soloist of all time. Everyone tries to achieve his goals but always fails and falls short. It doesn't matter, you are the king," a comment read. "1st is white christmas v remix. 2nd is 3d alternative version," a fan of V roped in too.
BLINKs counter ARMYs
More BLINKs quickly challenged this claim too, stating that Jennie's own 'you and me' (Coachella ver.) topped the list with 4.6 million, and not Jungkook. One ARMY took a hibe, "Just today I saw a post from a Blonk that said the Dracula is the biggest remix debut, the day isn’t even over yet and it now You and Me…please pick a struggle." A BLINK replied, "guys remix and versions r different, these armys r covering up for jk, and it was packed 3D: the remix so they were dumb thinking that it was an remix, no remix have diff vibes, beats but versions have slight change in tune for example clean version."A K-pop fan tried to put an end to the debate. Their post read, "the thing is You and Me debuted with combined streams of original+ coachella version (it only got separated later) 3D Alt version on the other hand charted separately."As ARMYs and BLINKs continue their clash, the two bands are set to return to music. While
ARIRANG releases on March 20, 2026,
DEADLINE will drop on February 27, 2026.
