After Varanasi, Prithviraj Sukumaran To Play Key Role In Nani-Sujeeth's Film? Here's What We Know

off the success of Pawan Kalyan’s OG, director Sujeeth has started working on his next project which is rumoured to be titled, Bloody Romeo. Starring Nani in the lead, the film's pooja ceremony took place in October. Although the production house didn't share images, several pictures of Nani and Sujeeth were doing the rounds on social media. The latest we hear is that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is also part of the cast.

Prithviraj Sukumaran To Play Crucial Role In Nani, Sujeeth's Film: Reports

According to reports, Prithviraj Sukumaran will play a key role in the project which is titled Bloody Romeo. While details of his character have not been revealed, fans are waiting to know more information on the project. Interestingly, this would mark his third collaboration with a Telugu star after Salaar with Prabhas and Varanasi with Mahesh Babu. Official confirmation regarding the full cast and crew is yet to be announced.

The new film was officially launched on Dussehra with a traditional pooja ceremony. Nani, Sujeeth, and the team were present, and Venkatesh Daggubati was the chief guest. Earlier in April 2025, Nani revealed that the project with Sujeeth was on hold due to the director's commitments with OG, the gangster drama featuring Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. In the interview, addressing the delay in Sujeeth’s project, Nani said, “My film with Sujeeth has been delayed because he needs to complete OG before starting mine. He is working on it. It will mostly begin after The Paradise." Nani further said that his focus is on his upcoming film director Srikanth Odela. Nani's The Paradise is touted to be beyond everyone’s expectations. Once that wraps up, he plans to work on Sujeeth’s project.

Initially announced under the DVV banner, the production house behind They Call Him OG, the film is now being bankrolled by Niharika Entertainments. It is expected to hit theatres in December 2026, though an official release date is yet to be announced.On the work front, Nani was last seen in HIT: The Third Case, which did well at the box office. Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran is currently working on Varanasi which also stars Priyanka Chopra.
