keen eye for detail has drawn widespread praise. One striking example is actor Dalvinder Saini, who plays terrorist Ajmal Kasab in the film and leaves a lasting impact despite limited screen time.In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Dalvinder opened up about being discovered by the makers, navigating the audition process, and preparing for the emotionally and physically demanding role of Kasab.He revealed that he received a call from the MCCC (casting company) to audition for a character. After being given a scene, he prepared for it and auditioned, which went well. A few days later, he was informed that he had been locked for a different role. He shared, "I was happily shocked when I got to know that I’ll be playing Kasab because I auditioned for some other character, which did not have a name. I was very happy and I was nervous, not because of how dark the character was but because it wasn’t any fictional character."Saini said that it was "heart-wrenching" to get to know Kasab’s story. "To prepare mentally and physically for Kasab, I learned and read a lot. I educated myself about every small detail connected to him, his background, illegal activities, terrorism, how such systems work, what happened during the 26/11 event, and the aftermath. I watched numerous videos and read many articles to understand how terrorist groups manipulate young children and turn them into human weapons," shared the actor.

He said he tried to understand the terrorists' psychology: how they think, perceive the world, and become emotionally explosive. The process was extremely tough but deeply research-driven. He added that he closely studied Kasab’s videos online to observe his walk and body language, and worked on absorbing those traits physically.Asked about his experience on the sets, Dalvinder said, "Working on the same set as Ranveer Singh sir and Arjun Rampal sir was a huge honour for me. But everyone was very sweet and made me feel comfortable. What I learned most from them was passion, the madness they have for their craft. Their attention to tiny details and curiosity for perfection was deeply inspiring. It taught me that passion is the true magic that allows humans to move people and create impact.""I had Ranveer Singh's posters on my bedroom wall," Saini fondly recalled. "Sitting in the same space as someone I idolised was nerve-wracking. But he was very chill and attentive. When I entered the set, he was sitting on the couch, wearing shades, and that moment was magical. Seeing your idol in front of you and being his co-actor was purely a gift."

He also shared how Ranveer appreciated his work on the sets. After the first shot, the star took him aside and said, "Danny, achcha kar raha hai, aise hi kar." The duo then exchanged a few more words. To date, Singh remembers Dalvinder by his nickname, Danny, something that has touched the debutant’s heart.Up next, he will be next seen in a web show that he's currently shooting in Bhopal.
