Now, Hema Malini has broken silence over her absence from Dharmendra's prayer meet organised by Sunny and Bobby.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Hema Malini addressed speculations around separate prayer meets for Dharmendra and skipping the one organised by Sunny and Bobby.

"Yeh humare ghar ka personal mamla hai. We talked to each other. I kept one prayer meet at my home because my group of people are different. Then, I kept one in Delhi because I am in politics, and it was important for me to keep a prayer meeting there for my friends from that field. Mathura is my constituency, and the people there are mad about him. So, I kept a prayer meeting there as well. I am happy with what I did," she said.

Hema Malini on misinformation around Dharmendra's death

In the same conversation, the veteran actress reacted to the misinformation being spread around her husband's death. Hema Malini revealed that there are videos of her crying where her eyes look sore and red. She further requested people not to fall for the same. She added that fans and friends have been sending her sympathetic messaging asking her to be strong after seeing such videos. "But I am a very strong person. I keep my emotions to myself. When my mother passed away 20 years ago, I wondered whether I would be able to live without her, but I did. This is what life teaches us," she said.Meanwhile, on the work front, Dharmendra's last film, Ikkis, was recently released in theatres.
