Allu Arjun and 22 others have been named in the chargesheet filed by Hyderabad police in connection with the stampede that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre. The incident
claimed the life of a woman and left her young son injured. The 100-page document names 23 individuals, including the theatre management and security personnel, holding organisers responsible for problems in crowd management. Allu Arjun has been named as Accused No. 11 (A-11) in the case.
Puhspa 2 Stampede Case: Allu Arjun Named In Charge Sheet
The chargesheet was a year after the case was registered. The incident occurred on the night of December 4, 2024, during the film's premiere show, when a stampede broke out, killing 35-year-old M Revathi and leaving her nine-year-old son, Sritej, critically injured.
Police officials have stated that the responsibility for ensuring public safety during such events is with the organisers. The chargesheet details how inadequate organisation and failure to manage the crowd contributed to the tragic incident. Further legal proceedings in the case are expected as the court takes charge of the chargesheet and examines the roles of those named in the incident.
Pushpa 2 Stampede Sritej Health Status
Sritej was admitted to KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, on the night after the stampede occurred where he in a semi-conscious state with low oxygen levels. He was intubated and placed on ventilator support in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, where he remained for a period four months. He was discharged on April 29, 2025, and shifted to a neuro-rehabilitation facility in Hyderabad, where he continues to undergo long-term treatment.
In the video statement, Dil Raju revealed that Allu Arjun and Allu Aravind have been supporting the family right from the incident. “The good thing is that Sritej is recovering very well. When the incident happened last year, as per Allu Arjun’s instructions, I arranged a deposit of Rs 2 crore. From the interest earned, Rs 75,000 is provided to the family every month for the boy’s medical and expenses. The remaining interest continues to add to the principal so it benefits the boy and the family in the long run,” said Dil Raju. He also mentioned that Allu Arjun spent nearly Rs 70 lakh on the boy’s medical treatment in the initial months.“Now, Bhaskar (father of Sritej) is asking for additional support for his son’s rehabilitation. I will speak to Allu Arjun and Allu Aravind garu and ensure he receives the required assistance,” assured Dil Raju.
