Shivaji, starring Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role, created a solid buzz amongst the masses before its release. However, due to mixed reviews from the critics, the bilingual film has been struggling to mint numbers at the box office. It has to be noted that Raja Shivaji collected Rs 33.90 crore in its first weekend. But the real struggle began on Monday as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj biopic’s day 4 collections dropped by 50 per cent. The first three days' numbers were good, but the fourth day turned out to be a bad one for the film.
Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 4 Update
According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, Riteish Deshmukh’s
Raja Shivaji minted only Rs 5.60 crore in India on day 4. On Monday, Raja Shivaji ran in theatres with 21.5 per cent occupancy. Notably, the Marathi version got a good response from the masses, but the Hindi version was not seen by many people on Monday despite keeping more shows of it in theatres. On day 4, Raja Shivaji’s Marathi version minted Rs 4.25 crore from 1735 shows. On the other hand, the Hindi version collected only Rs 1.35 crore from 3410 shows. According to the portal, the drop is 53.3 per cent as compared to the Sunday collections, which were Rs 12 crore.
For the unversed, Raja Shivaji collected Rs 11.35 crore on its opening day. On day 2, the numbers dropped as the film minted Rs 10.55 crore. The collections might get dropped in the upcoming days. Now, only word of mouth can increase the collections of Raja Shivaji. As per the report, Raja Shivaji’s total India gross collection is Rs 46.95 crore, and the net collection is Rs 39.50 crore.
