Mohanlal's announcement also clears the air around the release strategy of the Malayalam original and its Hindi remake. There had been speculation that both versions of
Drishyam 3 might release simultaneously. However, the Hindi adaptation starring
Ajay Devgn is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 2, 2026 - nearly six months after the Malayalam version. This ensures that Mohanlal’s
Drishyam 3 will once again lead the narrative, staying true to the franchise’s tradition.
