Akhanda 2 OTT Release Date: The release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 was delayed from its original December 5 date due to financial disputes between 14 Reels Plus and Eros. With the issues now resolved and the Madras High Court granting clearance, the film is set to arrive in theatres on December 12. However, this has turned into a death knell for mid-budget Telugu film Mowgli, which had earlier eyed the same release date. Sagar in lead roles cannot clash with the mega-budget Akhanda 2, and the fact that producers People Media Factory had already entered into an OTT deal means delaying the film will not be possible as well. This has prompted makers to turn Mowgli into a direct-to-digital release.

Taking to X, Sandeep shared a long note, blaming himself for the film not getting a theatrical release. "Maybe Colour Photo and Mowgli deserved another DIRECTOR instead of me.
