From Millionaire to Jumme Ki Raat, they set the energy level high before the 2026 WPL season will kick off with a blockbuster clash as 2024 winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) face off against 2023 and 2025 champions Mumbai Indians (MI). For the unversed, Smriti Mandhana won the toss and decided to bowl first in the tournament opener.

Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, the Miss Universe 2021, gave her opening speech, welcoming the players, guests and audience today at the DY Patil Stadium for Women's Premiere League. She opened up with, "

The DY Patil Stadium is one of two venues hosting the tournament alongside Vadodara. This will mark the first time the stadium hosts women's cricket since the World Cup final victory of the Women in Blue. The venue is hosting the WPL for the first time since the first season.
