Taehyung - the actor is back and now, he wants to rule over the world of K-drama and films as well. BTS member V has talked about his huge interest in becoming an actor. In a recent interview, the global star opened up about his creative aspirations, revealing that he hopes to explore a wide range of acting roles in the future. Taehyung also drew parallels between his approach to music and acting, hinting that he may be far from done with the screen. Read on to know why we think V might soon be seen in a K-Drama.
V talks about his acting aspirations
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Taehyung shared that he sees acting as a way to experience lives and emotions that go beyond reality. “When I’m acting, part of the point is to try a bunch of different parts that I can’t experience in reality,” he said, explaining how this mindset aligns with his musical journey. Just as he avoids limiting himself to a single genre in music, he expressed a strong desire to explore diverse roles on screen. His statement has naturally led fans to wonder if a full-time acting career could be on the horizon.
This renewed focus on acting comes nearly a decade after his debut in the historical K-drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, where he first showed his acting potential. While his primary focus remained music over the years, his recent appearances suggest a gradual return to the craft.
V's recent acting performance
Most recently, Taehyung impressed viewers with his performance in the ad film
That Night, Our Decaffeinated, where he starred opposite Park Ji-Min. The short film is just like a nostalgic K-drama, following two individuals who reconnect at a coffee stall after years apart. Through subtle cues, shared memories, familiar voices, and lingering emotions, the ad beautifully shows their high school days as childhood crushes. The story delicately explores themes of love, missed opportunities, and second chances, leaving audiences emotionally invested in their reunion.
In addition to this, Taehyung also made a striking appearance in IU’s music video for
Love Wins All. Set in a dystopian world, the video portrayed him as part of a couple on the run, going through a haunting environment where survival itself is uncertain. His emotional performance was just perfect for the music video, even as the story concluded on a bittersweet note.
