Harbour is leaving the upcoming project Behemoth! from Andor creator and director Tony Gilroy to take care of his mental health and rest. The actor's next role was opposite fellow Marvel star Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde and had begun filming. According a new report, the upcoming Searchlight Pictures film will be recast. The actor, who plays Hawkins police chief Jim Hopper on the hit series co-created by Matt and Ross Duffer, was reportedly overwhelmed by the ending of Stranger Things. Earlier this year, it was also revealed that David separated from his wife of five years, singer Lily Allen.

A report in Variety confirmed that David Harbour exited the drama film. A representative for Searchlight Pictures confirmed his departure and the report also states that Harbour's role will be recast. His replacement has not yet been named.
