Kapoor has said that for people living abroad, Ram Charan has become "reference point for Indians." Lauding her Peddi co-star, Janhvi turned a fangirl for the Telugu superstar, while also giving a shoutout to how SS Rajamouli's RRR not just took Indian cinema to the global stage, but also people attached with it, including Ram Charan, who shared screen space with Jr NTR. For now, Peddi is one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu. It is slated to release on June 4, 2025.

Ahead of its big premiere, Janhvi spoke to the media about her experience of working in Peddi. While promoting the film, she was all praise for Ram Charan, and couldn't gush enough about working with him. She reiterated the international popularity the actor has garnered following his mega-hit RRR."I was in America. And I have to say this, that the reference point for Indians right now is you (Ram Charan). Even in immigration, they were like 'Oh! Are you an actor?' I said yes, I'm an actor from India. And they said 'RRR...Ram Charan!'" " Janhvi said, according to IANS.

About Peddi

Peddi went on floors with the working title of RC16 in March 2024. Its official title was revealed in March 2025. Set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, the plot follows a spirited villager who brings his community together through sports to stand up to a powerful rival and protect their pride.
