For fans, they aren't just any regular newly weds giving couple goals, they are testimony of how love fights all odds, exactly what kept their relationship strong for 10 years until they decided to get married. When Woo-Bin was fighting cancer, it was Min-Ah's strength and support that ensured he came out of the battle fully cured. The couple's joint fight and victory was revealed by Beopryun Sunim who officiated their wedding. Infact he stated that Min-Ah's silent prayer got back Woo-Bin's health.

Shin Min-Ah and Kim Woo-Bin's wedding was hosted by Woo-Bin's close friend, actor Lee Kwang-Soo. Singer Car, the Garden performed the congratulatory song on Romantic Sunday, an OST from Min-Ah's show Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. Buddhist monk Beopryun Sunim served as the officiant at the private ceremony.According to The Chosun Daily, the monk shared at the ceremony how Min-Ah prayed with an offering of rice during Woo-Bin's battle with nasopharyngeal cancer.

What did Beopryun Sunim reveal at the wedding ceremony?

Beopryun Sunim, know to be the couple's spiritual guide shared the words he offered during the wedding ceremony. Through Jungto Society's program 'A Monk’s Day,' Beopryun said, "Woo Bin once went through a very difficult time due to health issues. During that period, Min Ah carried an offering of rice on her head and went to pray before Avalokitesvara at Mount Namsan in Gyeongju. Transcending religious boundaries, she prayed sincerely for him. After that, Woo Bin regained his health and today the two of them stand here, hand in hand, promising to share their lives together. This is truly the result of a deep and meaningful bond."

Kim Woo-Bin's cancer battle, Shin Min-Ah support

In May 2017, Woo-Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, a type of head and neck cancer that affects the area behind the nose. His then agency, Sidus HQ, confirmed that the actor had begun drug and radiation treatment and would halt all work related activities. In December that year, Woo-Bin announced, in a letter, that he had completed his treatment and was cancer free. Shin Min Ah was at several times, seen at the hospital with Kim Woo-Bin and had even accompanied him for his radiation therapy. A source had revealed in 2017, "Every time I go to Kim Woo Bin’s hospital ward, I see Shin Min Ah next to him. Shin Min Ah is highly famous so she catches the attention of everyone, including the hospital staff so this could be uncomfortable for her. However, she brushes all that aside and stays next to him, to support Kim Woo Bin’s recovery."

Shin Min-Ah (41) and Kim Woo-Bin (36) first met in February 2014 while filming a commercial for a clothing brand. The two triggered rumours of dating, and later confirmed their relationship in July of that year. After dating for a decade, they announced marriage in November this year.
