remarks at her. The 'joke' which was made by Anasuya on stage three years ago, resurfaced and sparked debate. This was after comments made by Dhandoora actor Sivaji at a movie pre‑release event, faced criticism, including Anasuya who slammed his remarks. The controversy began when Raasi recalled the incident referencing to a skit from a few years ago that deeply hurt her. In the show, comedian Hyper Aadi made a remark referencing with objectionable comments. Raasi said she was deeply hurt by the double‑meaning dialogue and how Anasuya reacted to it at the time.

Anasuya has taken her social media account to apologize to veteran actress Raasi for her comments. She posted “Dear Raasi garu, My sincere apologies to you. Three years ago, I used double meaning dialogues in a skit against you. I should have raised an objection against the crew. It is my mistake."

Anasuya went on to say that although she cannot change the past, she has grown and has left such shows, and now strongly stands against insensitive or objectifying remarks against people. She expressed respect and shared well‑wishes toward her. "Please accept my apologies. I cannot rectify my mistake but I have to tell you that people change and evolve. I have left the tv show and this is a change from my end. I am more stronger and empowered than before to question the narratives built around women’s bodies. Raasi recently revealed that she was once invited to participate in a comedy show that wanted to enact a skit passed on her character in the film Preyasi Raave. However, she refused to be part of the segment, reveaing that she was uncomfortable with mocking or content which includes humiliation. According to Raasi, Anasuya was involved in that episode, which made her to her disappointed. She strongly condemned body-shaming and insensitive language.
