All about Dhruva Natchathiram verdict
The court’s directive comes after years of uncertainty for
Dhruva Natchathiram, which faced multiple delays since it went on floors. The Madras High Court facilitated the film’s release on or before June 15 after addressing key financial disputes. Investors K Punniyamoorthy and K Premkumar agreed to the release plan, provided that all revenues generated from the film are routed through a structured mechanism.
To ensure transparency, the court has ordered the creation of a dedicated bank account under Kondaduvom Entertainment. All income and expenditure related to the film will be monitored through this account, with a lawyer appointed to oversee financial transactions. The court has also imposed strict conditions, stating that no payments, including salaries or profit shares, can be made without prior approval.Despite this major breakthrough, a few steps remain before the film can hit theatres. Gautham Vasudev Menon is required to secure additional funds from investors to clear pending dues. He must also initiate discussions with theatre owners and distributors to finalise the release plan. While an official release date is yet to be confirmed, the court’s order marks a significant step forward for
Dhruva Natchathiram. After years of setbacks, the film is now closer than ever to reaching audiences, offering hope not just to its makers but also to others navigating similar challenges in the industry.
