Ranveer Singh shared his happiness through an Instagram story celebrating the victory and also interacted with NBA star Joel Embiid, showcasing his excitement and fan energy as Arsenal made headlines.

Joining the frenzy was Ranveer Singh himself. The Dhurandhar actor channeled his inner energy through his Instagram account, where he posted a story after the victory was revealed. His story read “22 YEARS !!, WE KEPT BELIEVING”; he filled the text with overwhelming emojis. Ranveer also roared the popular slogan #COYG (come on you gooners), of Arsenal fan clubs. Filled with red and white hearts resembling the colour theme for the team, he wrote: “We’ve come a long way!” perfectly depicting his zeal after the long-awaited victory.

What fans did not expect was his interaction with Joel Embiid, who took over his X account to support the victory for Arsenal. The NBA player wrote, “It’s been a long time coming.. Proud to be a gooner #COYG.” Joining Embiid in his celebration, Ranveer wrote a simple yet heartwarming reply, “JOELLLLLL” flooded with burning heart emojis.

Serving as the former brand ambassador for the English Football Club in India, Ranveer Singh has admired his personal favourite Arsenal for a while now. He shared his acclaim for the team at Premier League 2022-23, when the actor met Arsenal legends Patrick Vieira and Cesc Fabregas for an interview with Sky Sports. There, he shared how EPL has a huge fan base in India. The appearance was at the Emirates Stadium, ahead of the Arsenal Vs Chelsea game.

In the same interview Ranveer Singh spoke about how his love for football and Arsenal began around 2000, when he watched the Invincibles in action. He recalled how he and his best friend would get extremely excited while celebrating their team’s moments, reacting with childlike energy.He also said that he often had lively debates with Arjun Kapoor, who supports rival club Chelsea, with the two regularly arguing in good spirit over their favourite teams.
