Welcome To The Jungle Actor Akshay Kumar Sells Two Borivali Flats for ₹7.1 Crore

Kumar is yet again in the headlines after he recently made a real estate move. The actor has sold two residential apartments in Mumbai’s Oberoi Sky City, Borivali East, for a combined valuation of 7.1 crore rupees. According to the property registration documents reviewed by CRE Matrix, the transaction was made on June 2, 2026, marking it as another chapter in his ongoing Mumbai property sell-off. This comes just weeks before the release of his franchise comedy, Welcome To The Jungle, scheduled for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.

Two Flats, One Smart Exit

The two units Akshay sold at Oberoi Sky City are on the 35th floor of Tower B. The larger of the two apartments spans 1101 sq ft of carpet area and was sold for 5.75 crore rupees, with an additional stamp duty of 28.75 lakhs. Meanwhile, the adjacent 252 sq ft unit fetched 1.35 crore rupees with a stamp duty of 6.75 lakhs. Both of the sold units are inclusive of dedicated parking spaces. The purchase for both flats was made under the name of Suvarna Rupeshkumar Sakpal.The flats were originally acquired by Akshay from Incline Realty Pvt Ltd back in November 2017. The larger one was purchased for 3 crores, while the adjacent one was bought for 67.55 lakhs.

As per the registration documents, the smaller flat itself appreciated by approximately 99% over a period of 8 years. This Borivali sell-off is observed to be a part of a larger pattern. In January 2025, Akshay sold a 1073 sq ft apartment in Mumbai’s Borivali area for a whopping 4.25 crores, while he also offloaded his luxury flat in the Oberoi 360 West project on Worli for 80 crores in the same month. Earlier this year, he reportedly leased out a duplex apartment in the Oberoi complex, Andheri West, at a monthly rent of 1.44 lakhs.

Talking about Akshay’s upcoming projects, he is all geared up for the release of his upcoming release of Comedy Franchise movie Welcome To The Jungle. Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiawala, the film is all set for its release on June 26, 2026. With this film, Akshay is making a return to the Welcome franchise after being absent since the last released movie of the franchise, Welcome Back (2015).

The leading cast of the film has 24 members, including names like Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani. The film will shift the franchise’s signature chaotic comedy to a large-scale setting in a jungle. The title track of the film has already been generating a strong response online, with viewers praising Akshay’s comic timing and his pairing with Raveena Tandon.
