Decoding Ahaan's overnight success with Saiyaara,
Ali Abbas Zafar had said in a statement, "Audiences have connected with Ahaan because he’s not trying to impress them." He also felt that the actor is 'simply present in the moment.' According to him, Ahaan has the potential to become a rare Bollywood romantic hero. "There’s softness to him, but also strength. That balance is what makes people root for him, especially in love stories," Ali said.Ali opined that the whole romance gave grace to a hero, and action gave him fire. So, when grace and fire meet, "it is a potent combination for audiences to see an entirely new side to Ahaan that they haven’t seen." Ali believes that Ahaan has vulnerability in his eyes, something he is set to explore and dig out, making his character a powerful one.
