During a promotional interaction for Pandiraaj’s Parimala & Co, H Vinoth joined fellow filmmakers Pa Ranjith, Sandy Master, and Santhosh in a discussion on SS Music. When asked about the release of Jana Nayagan, the filmmaker gave a cryptic response. The video of which is doing the rounds on social media.

As the anchor pressed for clarity, Vinoth stated that the release timeline was not in his control. He also said that even if he were willing to speak openly, the truth might not be something others would be able to share or handle easily. " I don’t even have the courage to tell you the truth. Even if I had the courage, you wouldn’t have the courage to share it.” he said.His views come in the time when the film has been stuck in certification limbo for months. The controversy began after the action film was sent to a revising committee, following a complaint that it contained sensitive depictions of the army and scenes that could hurt religious sentiments. Earlier listings on ticketing platforms had hinted at a possible June release, leading to speculation that the film could coincide with Vijay’s birthday (June 22). However, there has been no official confirmation.

Producer Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions recently interacted with press after he was spotted at a temple. The producer revealed that Jana Nayagan hasn't been certified yet, but he wished that it will be done soon. He also said that once the certificate is received, Thalapathy Vijay's film will be released on the big screen. Despite the uncertainty, fans continue to await an official update on the Vijay-starrer, which remains one of the most anticipated releases in Tamil cinema.
