During his performance, he took everyone by surprise by paying a heartfelt tribute to Zubeen Garg, the legendary music icon of the Assamese industry, who passed away earlier this year. This gesture done by the singer deeply moved the hearts of all the fans who admired the Assamese singer.

Fans get emotional

The mention of Garg instantly energised the audience, with many cheering, tearing up, and recording the moment on their phones. The audience immensely praised this shoutout and shared several clips of the same on social media. One fan took over social media and said, "Post Malone had our eyes with tears. Each word meant something to him. It could feel right away." The concert itself was a major draw, with Malone performing fan favourites including Rockstar, Sunflower and Congratulations, keeping the crowd captivated throughout the night.

Zubeen Garg dies

Zubeen Garg died on September 19, 2025, in Singapore. The singer went there for the North India Film Festival. Though the initial reasons stated for his death were drowning while swimming but his death later took a strange turn as there were suspicions of earlier poisoning noted during his post-mortem at Delhi. Though the investigation is still ongoing, the Special Director General of Police of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Munna Prasad Gupta, recently made a statement saying, "The investigation is almost complete. The details will be given in the charge sheet." So far, 7 arrests have been made, with over 300 witnesses under examination.
