Following the film's OTT release, Vipin Das has taken to social media to appreciate the film's artistic depth and praised its bold storytelling. Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “Comanga!! Malayalam is the only industry that can deliver these kinds of concepts in movies. Whether it is cancer or depression, Altaf is one of the rarest directors who can narrate the subject satirically. I know that #oodumkuthirachaadumkuthira wasn't successful in theaters, but I'm damn sure that people will discover this movie after many years and will start talking about it. Altaf, man you deserve one of the top places among Malayalam new wave directors. Waiting for your next."
