What
an amazing year 2025 has been for gamers, and most of us share the same sentiment. From Metal Gear, Call Of Duty to Ghost of Yotei, Expedition 33 (Game Of The Year), we got to see a dream catalogue this year. And now, with 2026 just a few days ahead of us, the only thing that the gamers are waiting for is for this year to end because 2026 is set to be the year of spectacles. Launches of GTA 6, Wolverine, and Forza Horizon 6 are going to be cosmic-level events (not literally, of course).
The Year of Superhero Games: Marvel's Wolverine, Marvel 1943 Rise Of Hydra And More
For sure, 2026 is going to be the year of Superhero games. In the first half of the year, we will most probably get to see two new games - LEGO Batman and Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra. Now, Batman one is going to be a light hearted game of course, but Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra is all set to woo the fans out there with a chapter from the history of one of the most notorious outfits in the Marvel universe. The game will be set around the events of World War II, and the location will be occupied Paris of 1943, where we will get to see four playable characters, including Captain America (the OG Steve Rogers), Gabriel Jones, Black Panther, and Nanali. Our heroes will be fighting to stop Hydra, the evil Nazi faction. Imagine the stakes, imagine the aura when Captain America and Black Panther will join forces (Remember, Give This Man A Shield? Yes, that's what I am talking about.)Next in the line, or we can say the biggest in the line, is
Marvel's Wolverine, which is going to be a PS5 exclusive just like Spider-Man. Here, you will play as James 'Logan' Howelett or Wolverine, who is looking for answers to his past. The trailer of the game has showed us that we are set to see bloodbath, cyborgs, and a lot more that is more than electrifying. Other popular characters that we will get to see in the game are Mystique from the X Men universe, Omega Red, Reavers, and more.
All Hail The Rockstar Prodigy: GTA 6 Could Become The Undisputed King
Oh my, my, the buzz around this game is unbelievable at the very least. It was previously supposed to launch in May, but thanks to Rockstar Games and their delay tactics, the game is now coming out in November 2026. And once
GTA 6 drops, the game is going to own the stage and get a direct ticket to all award shows. Bringing the first ever female lead of the franchise, Lucia, along with male lead Jason, GTA VI promises to be nothing less than a meteor shower. Expect a lot of realism, ruthlessness and brutality in the game with elements that can break the internet. Rumours around the game have it that it will have a social media platform and a love meter between the leads that will change the coarse of the story. We already know with the leaks and rumours that Rockstar Games is cooking big time, and they are adamant to get the Michelin damn star.

Gaming And 2026 Is Going To Be A Love Story (Not A Cringe One Though)
Have a look at the games, speculations, line ups; it is pretty clear that the stakes are already high for 2026. Games from studios like Rockstar Games and Insomniac Games dropping in the same year is something like a dream come true. Wolverine and GTA 6 are for sure the games that will rewrite history. Talking about Wolverine, it is happening for the first time that the gaming industry is doing justice with Logan and showing his world the way it was - unforgiving, brutal, and filled with life-threatening massacres (for the villains, mate, not Wolverine). And in GTA 6, we are set to see the first female lead, new interactive in-game elements, and a hyper-immersive experience. As a gamer, I am already done with 2025 and just want to time-travel directly to the point where GTA 6, Wolverine, Rise of Hydra (at least these three, because the list is long) are in my PS library.
