streaming service Netflix began its Upfronts in New York City for the coming year with major updates on its upcoming releases. Shows like Wednesday , The Night Agent, Happy Gilmore 2, and Stranger Things brought the streamer 250 million global users every month. Looking ahead to the rest of 2026 and beyond, here's what Netflix had to say about exciting titles at the annual industry event, which secures marketing and advertising to the fall TV season.
Office Romance
The Netflix Upfronts opened with
Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein sharing a clip of their upcoming rom-com
Office Romance. Lopez reflected on the pleasure she felt after returning to the genre. Goldstein felt ecstatic to work with Jennifer Lopez and regarded her as the ‘Queen of romantic comedies.' The film, which will premiere on June 5, focuses on the troubles and chaos they face in their secret office love.
Something that fuels the eagerness of fans is what Netflix’s Chief Content Creator, Bela Bajaria, announced- 40 scripted series will be released from the US slate, and 27 of those are returning. She later shared the list that creates mania amongst its audiences.

Myron Bolitar; Bridgerton filmmaker's elite school drama Calabasas;
and an
untitled Nick Cannon docuseries that will focus on the singer raising 12 children with his former partners. As far as the films are concerned, comedy classic
Grown Ups is coming back with its threquel
Grown Ups 3, featuring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider.
A Matter of Time will feature a star-studded cast of Ben Stiller, Nicholas Galitzine, and Bella Maclean. Millie Bobby Brown's starrer
Enola Holmes 3 returns on July 1, 2026, continuing the young detective's adventures in the island nation of Malta.
Netflix will also stream five NFL games live, with a lineup for Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas, along with the Westminster Dog Show and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.

Many of the shows and films are returning with renewals or new seasons. The reality series
Love Is Blind and
Quarterback will be back for new seasons. Dan Levy's comedy
Big Mistakes has been renewed for Season 2, while the Kate Hudson starrer
Running Point, created by Mindy Kaling, is returning for Season 3.
My Life With the Walter Boys is renewed for its fourth season even before its third instalment that debuts later this year.
The teen drama and fan favourite
Bridgerton Season 5 will both be back in 2027. The romance period drama is returning next year with a queer love story that will follow widowed Lady Francesca Stirling (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza). The early-season premiere is a bonus for fans who won't have to wait two years in between seasons.
Other new seasons of
Nobody Wants This, The Hunting Wives and
Emily in Paris are already in the works
. Sweet Magnolias Season 5 will release on June 11. Another hit comedy,
The Four Seasons Season 2, starring Tina Fey, Steve Carell and Colman Domingo, will premiere soon on May 28.
