The actress, who recently welcomed her first child with husband Sidharth Malhotra, opened up about her life after embracing motherhood on a recent podcast. She said that she has completely changed as a person after becoming a mother and no longer sees herself the same way. While the Toxic actress has come to terms with this transformation, she constantly thinks about how her actions would influence her daughter and what example she is setting. She also highlighted that every woman goes through this phase differently and it impacts them in multiple ways.

Raj Shamani's podcast, Kiara said, "Everything in you as a person, as a personality, everything changes. I feel before becoming a mom and after becoming a mom, I am a completely different person in every way."She added that there is much more purpose in everything she does, as she wants to lead by example for her daughter. Kiara then opened up about dealing with a skin condition and how it affected her emotionally. Recalling her chat with the host, she shared that Raj’s text about his sister going through the same experience made her tear up.

Stressing that postpartum depression should be spoken about much more, she said that it affects women in different ways - emotionally and physically, in multiple ways."It is such an identity shift, such a new world. And in that moment, it is difficult for a woman going through it to give herself grace. It takes time. It has taken me six months," said Kiara while holding back tears. She added that she has been telling herself to give herself grace as she goes through this.She said that she had forgotten her own relationship with herself. But now, she has finally learned to nurture that bond, set boundaries, stop being overly critical, and not let fear control her.
When asked about how she will teach her daughter to deal with today's men, Kiara said that she wants her to live freely, make her own choices about love and marriage, experience life fully, and learn from mistakes without any rules or expectations. Sidharth is, and recalled his reaction to: "What would you do if Saraayah had a boyfried?" He said that he would not restrict their daughter from anything, but would instead teach her to decide for herself what is right and wrong.
