Bhosle's passing marks the end of an era. The legendary singer breathed her last on April 12 at Breach Candy Hospital. She passed away due to multiple organ failure, as confirmed by Dr Pratit Samdani. Asha Tai was 92. On April 13, the veteran singer's last rites were performed. She was laid to rest with full state honours at Shivaji Park crematorium. Sachin Tendulkar was among the several popular personalities who paid their last respects to Asha Tai. The former Indian cricketer reached her residence to pay final respects. Now, he has penned a touching note remembering the late singer.
Sachin Tendulkar's tribute to Asha Bhosle
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter), Sachin shared a picture with Asha Bhosle. It is a photo from his son Arjun Tendulkar's wedding. In fact, Asha Tai made her last public appearance at Arjun's wedding festivities. While posting this photo, Sachin penned that Asha ji's voice gave the world timeless melodies. He added that the late singer's warmth touch every heart.
"Holding her hand in this moment is a memory I will cherish forever, just as India will hold her songs in its heart forever," wrote Sachin. Earlier today, Sachin visited Asha Tai's residence with his wife Anjali Tendulkar. The couple paid their final respects to the music legend.

Amitabh Bachchan penned a few words remembering the iconic singer. He expressed sorrow and grief over her demise.
Through his Tumblr blog post, Big B wrote, "An entire era .. an incredible .. a phenominal, astounding, prodigious , presence … lost yesterday .. the iconic, legendary Asha Bhosle ji , has left us .. In immense grief .. Her versatility in giving life to every song she gave voice to .. gone to the heavens .. and has left us an entire encyclopedia of eternal music .." He added that Asha Tai's voice and soul shall remain forever with everyone.

Asha Bhosle was the daughter of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar. The singer has four siblings - Lata Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Khadikar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar. She had three children, Hemant, Varsha and Anand, from her first marriage with Ganpatrao Bhosle. Later, in 1980, she got married to RD Burman. In her career spanning eight decades, the late singer crooned more than 12,000 songs across different languages. May her soul rest in peace!
