Manish Malhotra Reveals Why Sanjay Leela Bhansali Stopped Working With Him After Khamoshi

Malhotra is one of the most famous costume designers in Indian cinema. He has worked with almost all the filmmakers and actors. However, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali doesn’t work with Manish after his debut film, Khamoshi. On Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle, Manish Malhotra revealed why SLB doesn’t work with him.

While having a candid conversation with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Manish Malhotra, who graced the show with Sonakshi Sinha, confessed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali doesn’t work with him because of his closeness with Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra. When asked about it by Kajol, Manish Malhotra said, “I did only one film, Khamoshi. He said, “I said, 'Sanjay, I am a professional, and I can work with so many different actors.' Yes, but sometimes some things just don't happen, and then you just make your own path.” Manish Malhotra has been working in the showbiz for 35 years now. He made his debut with Govinda, Rajesh Khanna and Juhi Chawla-starrer Swarg (1990). Manish has designed costumes for films like Rangeela, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and so on. Now, Manish Malhotra has turned producer. He will be bankrolling the film, Gustaakh Ishq, which stars Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. Stay tuned for more updates!
