Roan is no longer represented by Wasserman. The 27-year-old singer recently announced her decision to part ways with the talent management agency. The American singer made an official announcement on social media after the agency founder, Casey Wasserman, was named in the Epstein-related documents. The Department of Justice released the documents on January 30. As per the documents, the files apparently included emails exchanged between Casey and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2023. Here's what Chappell shared on her official Instagram account.
Chappell Roan no longer associated with Wasserman
Taking to her Instagram stories,
Chappell wrote, "As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman. I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values."
The 27-year-old singer further mentioned that she has deep respect and appreciation for the agent and staff who work tirelessly for their artists. That said, Chappell refused to passively stand by. She added that artists deserve representation that align with their values and supports their safety and dignity."This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust," added Chappell on a concluding note. Apart from the singer, several Indie music artists like Wednesday, Beach Bunny and Water From Your Eyes have shared their plans to leave the talent management agency in the coming days.
