Deepika Padukone Makes First Appearance After Second Pregnancy Announcement, Ranveer Singh Guards Her

her hectic shoot schedule, Deepika Padukone was spotted at the Mumbai airport in the early hours of Tuesday. The second time, the mom-to-be was with her husband, actor Ranveer Singh. Padukone made her first appearance after the pregnancy announcement. Deepika and Ranveer are expecting the new member before the year ends. The actress will continue working throughout the pregnancy and will take a break after fulfilling her current priorities. Ranveer and Deepika have a one-year-old daughter named Dua Padukone Singh, who will be two when her baby sister or brother arrives.

At the airport, Ranveer guarded Deepika from the crowd and the paparazzi rush. The actress, dressed in all blue, gave a sweet smile after seeing the cameramen around. As she walked ahead, Singh protected her and stood by as they entered the departure gate. Deepika and Ranveer did not pose for the paparazzi.

Deepika Padukone to shoot for two movies amid pregnancy

Deepika is currently the lead of two massive projects – King with Shah Rukh Khan and Raaka with Allu Arjun. As per Free Press Journal’s report, she is expected to deliver her second child in six months approximately. Until then, Padukone will be working on action sequences for King and Raaka. A source from one of the films told the portal that the actress called them to inform them about her pregnancy and remained committed to going out of her way to manage schedules to avoid causing inconvenience to anyone.

Body double for Deepika Padukone

While Deepika will be shooting for a song and action sequences with Shah Rukh for King in South Africa, a body double will be performing an important and major action scene with Allu Arjun on the sets of Raaka. According to a source, “Deepika will continue to shoot the dramatic moments. Her role stays intact, with no deletion what so ever. She is a key protagonist of Raaka, and nothing changes due to pregnancy." The Free Press Journal’s report stated that after returning from King’s South Africa schedule, Deepika has allotted 50 to 60 days for Raaka, directed by Atlee.

On April 19, Deepika and Ranveer announced the news with an adorable picture of their firstborn, Dua. The couple tied the knot in November 2018 at Lake Como in Italy. They had two ceremonies – Sindhi and Konkani. Dua was born in 2024.
