Teja Sajja, a popular Telugu actor who has become a pan-India star with his superhero films, has no qualms about admitting that his Hindi has a Hyderabadi accent. Instead of hiding it, the actor makes
an attempt to perfect it, and over time, he becomes more confident. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Teja reacted to the online trolling of actors for having a South accent while saying dialogues in Hindi movies. His contemporaries, who have now ventured into Bollywood, have been facing that pretty often. Talking to Zoom, the Hanu-Man and Mirai star said he doesn’t take trolls seriously and isn’t affected by them.

In an exclusive conversation with Zoom, when asked about South actors being trolled for their accents and dialects, Teja said, “Isiliye main English mein baat kar raha kyunki meri Hindi mein Hyderabadi slang aata hai (I am not talking in Hindi because it was a Hyderabadi slang). No, I don’t take trolling seriously. I am fine with it.”
Working with Karan Johar
In the same interview, Teja shared plans to collaborate with Karan. He joked, “Whenever you meet Karan sir, please ask him when is he casting Teja in a chakachak Dharma love story. I would also want to experience that,” before adding, “Jokes apart. We are actually planning something interesting. Dharma has been venturing into many avenues and Karan sir has been a kind person. He is extremely sweet.”Teja’s last release was Mirai in September this year. Set against the backdrop of Emperor Ashoka's era, it is a Telugu superhero blockbuster film also starring Manoj Manchu and Shriya Saran in the lead.
