However, it has been delayed due to certification issues. Amid this, the entire film was leaked online. Initially, Vijay's introduction scene was leaked on the internet. Following this, several celebrities have come out in support of Vijay and team Jana Nayagan. Superstar Rajinikanth has also strongly reacted to this matter on X (formerly Twitter).

Taking to X, Rajinikanth wrote that the leak of Jana Nayagan on the internet has caused shock and pain. He further called for severe punishment for the culprits. "Film associations must raise their voice against this, and the government must identify those responsible and impose severe punishment. Such crimes must not be allowed to continue in the future," he added.

On the other hand, Suriya called this incident 'heartbreaking and unfair', stating an entire team's passion was reduced to an online leak. He further requested everyone not to watch, share and discuss the film on social media. He told everyone to respect team Jana Nayagan's work. And the actor stated that he stands with his friends and condemned the act, calling it 'unforgivable'.

Director Venkat Prabhu also reacted to Vijay's Jana Nayagan being leaked online before its official theatrical release. The filmmaker took to X and penned, "Leaking #Jananayagan before its official release is not just piracy, it is disrespect to the hard work of producers, hundreds of artists and technicians who gave their blood and sweat for this film."He added that cinema should experience the way it is mean to be on the big screen. The director feels that people behind this leak should be severely punished. Prabhu also mentioned that Jana Nayagan will be the greatest farewell of all time for Vijay.

Meanwhile, Vijay recently made his first public appearance after his movie Jana Nayagan was leaked. A video, shared by Polimer News, features the actor avoiding questions about the leak of his film. Helmed by H Vinoth, the movie also stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, and Priyamani are also an integral part of the movie. On the work front, Vijay was last seen in GOAT.
