Having seen the teaser, she noted that the project looks "very grand" and "very beautiful," adding that she is genuinely looking forward to the full theatrical release.Dipika Chikhlia’s portrayal of Sita remains a core memory for millions, especially after the show regained massive popularity during its 2020 lockdown re-telecast. While her version, which aired in the late 1980s and early 1990s, was a household staple on Doordarshan, she acknowledged the technical evolution of the modern screen. The Massive Budget and Global Ambition
The Producer Namit Malhotra revealed that the film is being made on a staggering budget of $500 million (over Rs 4,000 crore) for both parts combined. Speaking to Prakhar Gupta, Malhotra mentioned that when the project was first recognised as a possibility six or seven years ago, many thought the scale was impossible for an Indian film.

The teaser, which runs for two minutes and 38 seconds, serves as a testament to that investment. It introduces the audience to a world that looks both ancient and highly stylised, featuring wide shots of Ayodhya and high-end visual effects that signal a major global theatrical event.
At the centre of this digital epic is Ranbir Kapoor, whose portrayal of Lord Rama is the main talking point for fans. The teaser explores Ranbir’s "many moods" as the mythical figure, from the intense action of killing a monster to the quiet grace and poise of his exile in the forest. The footage aims to showcase a performance that is both regal and ethereal, aiming to favour a connection with a new generation of viewers.Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the film boasts a pivotal star cast that has added to the widespread discussion- Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash in the role of Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The film is set to be released in two parts, with the first instalment scheduled for a worldwide release in October 2026, ahead of Diwali. The concluding second part is slated for Diwali 2027.
