No Stay Order On Dhurandhar: Delhi High Court
Major Sharma, who served in the Indian Army’s 1 Para (Special Forces), was killed in action in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, on March 21, 2009. His story has long been celebrated as one of courage, intelligence, and sacrifice. Sharma's parents have stated in their petition that the film appears to draw heavily from the life, undercover missions and martyrdom of the decorated Special Forces officer. They claim that the makers did not take permission from either the Indian Army or the family before creating a movie that seems to mirror several elements from his real journey.Delhi High Court to hear the plea by parents of Ashoka Chakra awardee, Late Major Mohit Sharma, seeking an urgent stay on the release of the Ranveer Singh-starrer film 'Dhurandhar’ that is slated to release on December 5. pic.twitter.com/xqX0cNYRsg
