JioHotstar, the popular OTT platform jointly backed by Reliance Industries and Disney, is reportedly planning to revise the price of its Premium Ad-Free plan in India. The platform already serves over
300 million paid users, offering multiple subscription options, but it looks like the top-tier Premium plan may soon become more expensive. This comes as the platform continues to strengthen its position in India’s streaming race, especially after the Jio-Disney partnership. And if the leak is anything to go by, users who enjoy ad-free binge-watching across devices may have to shell out more soon.Possible New Prices Leak OnlineAccording to a leak spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, screenshots shared on Reddit hint at new pricing for the Premium Ad-Free tier. As per the reported changes, the three-month plan could increase from Rs 499 to Rs 799, while the annual plan may jump from Rs 1,499 to Rs 2,499. Interestingly, the benefits appear unchanged. Users under this plan can still watch content on up to four devices at once, including TV, mobile, and laptop, with ad-free access to movies and shows. However, live sports and events are still expected to show ads, a norm across most platforms in India.ALSO READ: How To Get ChatGPT Go Subscription For Free For One Year: Check This Simple Step-By-Step GuideOther Plans Expected To Stay The SameFor now, there seems to be no change in JioHotstar’s ad-supported plans.
