On December 31, Yash shared the first look of Nayanthara from their upcoming film Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups directed by, Geetu Mohandas. Introducing her as Ganga, the image showcases her as as fierce
and dangerous woman who is on a mission. Nayanthara’s first look from the film follows those of Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi. Following the reveal, Nayanthara's husband Vignesh Shivan and filmmaker Geetu Mohandas took to social media to express their admiration for the actress. Read on to know what they have to say.

Taking to X, Yash posted "Introducing Nayanthara as GANGA in - A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups #TOXIC #TOXICTheMovie"The poser features an image of Nayanthara walking towards with an intense look, inside grand casino. Nayanthara’s Ganga is dressed a high-slit black number, holding a gun confidently, giving a look that exudes control. Taking to her Instagram stories, director Geetu Mohandas explains that the choice to cast Nayanthara came from a wish to explore a side of her screen that has not been fully tapped. As the shoot went on, Geetu observed that the character and actor began to reflect each other in surprising ways.
The post read "We all know Nayan as a celebrated star with a commanding screen presence, and a remarkable career spanning two decades but in TOXIC, audiences will witness a talent that had been quietly waiting to explode. I wanted to portray Nayan in a way that she's never been showcased before. But as the shoot progressed I began to see how closely her own personality echoed the soul of the character. It wasn't imitation, it was alignment. The depth, the honesty, the restraint, and the emotional clarity she brought were not performances layered on top of the character, they were qualities she already possessed. I found my Ganga, so brilliantly performed by her, and even more unexpectedly, I found a dear friend. I love you"
Nayanthara's husband, Vignesh Shivan also shared love for the actress. He posted "WOW" along with a heart emoji, and eye-heart emoji.
