Bimal Oberoi aka Shirani on being called Hamza's 'Doraemon'
When
Bimal Oberoi was asked about Shirani being called 'Doraemon', the actor told
Zoom, "My nephew Sandy came to me with this. He said he used to call my mother (his dadi) Doraemon. Because whatever he used to say, his grandma used to give it to him."The actor further reflected on what the thought process must've been for his role in
Dhurandhar 2. "But when it was (Shirani's character) written, it wouldn't have been thought like that. As for the character, it would've been said that he's such a guy that even Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh go to him. And he is a problem solver."
Having said that, the
Dhurandhar 2 actor is amazed at how involved audience is. "Vo kaha se kaha le gaye iss baat ko. Ye Doraemon hai, ye Blinkit hai... (laughs) And every day, I get at least 40 to 50 messages on Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook."
